Doug McAuliffe and DMS+C Help Win Kentucky Gubernatorial Race & Win Two Key Virginia State Senate Races to Maintain GOP Majority

Doug McAuliffe and the DMS+C team had another successful election night.

DMS+C was the media strategist for the Republican Governors Association’s historic gubernatorial victory in Kentucky. Matt Bevin overcame an election long deficit to become only the second GOP governor of Kentucky in forty-four years. Politico credited the RGA’s late surge in television spending in helping secure the upset victory.

In Virginia, we helped Glen Sturtevant win the state’s first $4+ million dollar State Senate race in SD10. The Sturtevant campaign deftly pushed back the unprecedented spending by Governor McAuliffe and Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown anti-gun PAC while the duo were more successful in defeating competitive Republicans candidates in Roanoke and Prince William County.

DMS+C also worked with Siobhan Dunnavant in SD12. Siobhan overcame a 40% primary deficit to win by 12% and cruised to victory in the general election.
